BRIEF PROJECT OUTLINE:

On the 13th feb 2025, when we visited a school in Mahatsinzo (Madagascar), we saw a little boy standing alone outside. His name was Fandresena (on the 6th photo)—which means Victory in English. But that day, he didn’t look victorious. While other children were inside, learning, Fandresena was silent, avoiding our gaze. WE asked him, “Why aren’t you in class?” He didn’t answer. He just stood there— he seemed illiterate, unconfident, and visibly sad.

Then, we stepped inside the school and realized why. The building was falling apart. The roof leaked when it rained, and parts of it were already collapsing. There weren’t enough benches—four children squeezed onto a single table meant for two. There weren’t enough books, chairs, or learning materials. In fact, the school was in such poor condition that it had to borrow a state-owned house just to continue teaching.

Fandresena, like so many other children here, deserves better. Education should not be a privilege—it should be a right. But without a safe and adequate school, these children are being left behind.
